AI Forecasting
FlexotiumPOS generates four types of forecasts using your historical sales data, inventory levels, seasonal patterns, and supplier lead times. Forecasts run automatically each night and are available on the dashboard each morning.
Forecast types
1. Demand Forecast
Predicts units sold per product over the next 7, 14, and 30 days. Based on sales velocity, day-of-week patterns, and seasonal trends detected in your historical data.
Use it to: plan staffing, prepare stock, and set reorder quantities.
2. Stock Depletion Forecast
Shows when each product will reach zero stock if current sales rates continue. Highlights products reaching zero in under 7 days.
Use it to: prioritise urgent reorders and avoid stockouts.
3. Purchase Forecast
Combines the demand forecast with current stock levels and supplier lead times to recommend what to order, from which supplier, and when to order it.
Use it to: generate purchase orders proactively rather than reactively.
4. Revenue Forecast
Predicts total sales revenue for the current week and next 4 weeks by category and product.
Use it to: set targets, plan promotions, and brief your team.
Confidence scores
Every forecast line carries a confidence score (0–100%). Higher confidence means more consistent historical data backs the prediction.
| Score | Interpretation | |-------|---------------| | 80–100% | High confidence — act with low risk | | 60–79% | Moderate — use alongside your judgement | | Below 60% | Low — treat as directional guidance only |
New products with less than 30 days of sales history will always show low confidence.
