Quick Setup
This guide takes you from a blank account to a completed test sale in under five minutes. No prior configuration needed.
Step 1 — Create your account
Go to pos.flexotium.com and click Get Started Free. Enter your business name, email, and a password. Your workspace is created instantly — no credit card required for the trial.
Step 2 — Add your first product
Once logged in, navigate to Inventory → Products and click Add Product.
Fill in the minimum required fields:
- Name — e.g.
House Blend Coffee - SKU — e.g.
COFFEE-HB-001(or let the system generate one) - Unit Price — e.g.
3.50 - Category — e.g.
Beverages
Click Save. Your product is now available at the register.
Step 3 — Open a register
Navigate to POS → Open Terminal. You'll be prompted to enter an opening float (the cash in your drawer at the start of the shift). Enter any amount — £50.00 works for testing.
Click Open Shift. The checkout screen loads immediately.
Step 4 — Process a test sale
In the checkout screen:
- Type the product name or scan a barcode — your product appears in the basket
- Click the product to set the quantity if needed
- Press Charge (or
F2on desktop) - Select Cash as the payment method
- Enter the tendered amount and click Confirm
The sale is recorded and a receipt is displayed. Your inventory is updated automatically.
FlexotiumPOS works fully offline. If you lose internet during a sale, the transaction is queued locally and syncs automatically when the connection returns. See Offline Mode for details.
